Telescoping Type Percentage Gage

Direct indication of the percentage of elongation is shown by this instrument for 2 in. or 8 in. gage lengths. As illustrated, the instrument is set for a 2 in. gage length, with engraved increments to 50% by 1 % graduations.

By removing the right hand pointer and placing it in the extreme right hand holder, the instrument is set for the 8 in. gage length, with similar percentage graduations shown on the opposite side. Percentages can be estimated closer than 1/2 of 1 %. Other gage length combinations are available, e.g., 1 in. and 2 in.
